CREATE YOUR OWN

SAFETY PLAN

   First, ask yourself:
  • What have I done in the past to stay safe? Will that still work?

  • Do I have a safe place to go when I leave? (Call REACH if you need emergency shelter.)

  • Before you leave, gather important items in a hidden, safe place:
  • Spare cash, checkbooks, credit cards

  • Medications

  • Extra clothes

  • Extra home and car keys

  • Walkers, hearing aids, etc.

  • Sentimental items, family photos

   Important Documents:

  • Birth certificates

  • Insurance policies

  • Banking information

  • Marriage licenses

  • Social Security cards
