Coming Up Next
Due to the storm and our beloved law enforcement and first responder agencies giving their all to help all surrounding communities, this event has been postponed until further notice. - Stay tuned for updates.
With October being Domestic Violence Awareness Month, REACH of Haywood County invites the public to a free, special event, From Identification to Prosecution: Strengthening Community Collaboration, to be held on October 30th, 2024, from 8:30am to 4:00pm, at Charles M. Beall Auditorium in Clyde, North Carolina.
The purpose of this event is for guest speaker, Sgt. John Guard of Pitt County Sheriff’s Department, to illuminate the complexities and to identify why it's important for community-based agencies to work in collaboration with each other. Sgt. Guard, along with REACH Advocate, Kit Gruelle, will lead discussions on everything from the need for healthy community collaboration to specialized approaches to evidence collection in domestic violence cases, as well as addressing the link between domestic violence and mass shootings.
A special thank you to our co-sponsors, Haywood County Sheriff's Office, Town of Waynesville Police Department, Canton Police Department, and Maggie Valley Police Department, and to Haywood Community College for permission to host this at the at Charles M. Beall Auditorium.

REACH of Haywood would like to convey our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who supported and attended the 2024 Women of Vision Fashion Show and Luncheon on August 29th.
For those who joined us, your presence was a true honor, significantly enhancing the sophistication and allure of the occasion. The enthusiasm and backing you provided were crucial, playing a vital role in creating a memorable experience for all attendees. We are sincerely grateful for your participation. Furthermore, we wish to acknowledge those who, despite being unable to attend, contributed to the event through generous donations. Your support is immensely valued. We also extend our gratitude to those who donated items for our auction and offered their services selflessly. Your kindness and generosity are deeply appreciated.
Lastly, we express our gratitude to our remarkable models, who were honored as this year's Women of Vision. A Woman of Vision represents the aspirations that women have for themselves and their communities, whether in their professional lives, addressing community needs, or nurturing their families. This vision is grounded in a strong commitment to integrity and personal values. We hope you felt celebrated and cherished during this event!
It was a pleasure to share this year's sold-out occasion with all of you, and we trust you enjoyed it as much as we did. Everyone at REACH eagerly looks forward to your participation in future events. Your support is vital to our mission, and we could not accomplish our objectives without you.

This is such a beautiful piece of art created and donated by long-time REACH supporter, Margaret Roberts, to REACH for our annual fall fashion show held last month. REACH was so honored to offer this exquisite creation to our guests as the event’s live auction item. The bidding spoke volumes for the true value of this labor of love! Congratulations to the winner who stated she is a collector of Margaret Robert’s art; many were envious!
A very special note of gratitude to the artist-extraordinaire, Margaret Roberts! REACH appreciates you in ways which are immeasurable, much like your talent! Thank you!
