Sandra “Sandy” Green

Sandra Adams Green is a licensed, board-certified psychotherapist with more than forty-five years of experience in the mental health field. Her career has focused on individual, family, and marital therapy, with extensive expertise in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental and emotional disorders, including work with individuals and families impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault. Sandy completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota Duluth and the University of South Carolina, where she later earned her graduate degree. Originally from northern Minnesota, she spent several years flying out of Chicago and San Francisco as a United Airlines flight attendant before marrying and settling in Greenville, South Carolina in the mid-1970s, where she raised her two sons, who now live with their families in Charleston. In 2011, Sandy moved to Waynesville after marrying her husband, Bruce Green. Throughout her life she has remained deeply engaged in community service, including graduating from Leadership Greenville Class XIII, serving on the American Cancer Society Executive Committee, and participating actively in First Presbyterian Church of Greenville. Since relocating to Haywood County, she has been a dedicated volunteer with REACH of Haywood County, serving on the Client Services and Event Committees and joining the Board of Directors in 2019. In semi-retirement, Sandy enjoys golfing, oil painting in the mountains, traveling with her husband, and spending time as a member of Laurel Ridge Country Club and Long’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
